The mission of Jewish Student Union is to get more Jewish teens attending public high schools to do something Jewish! That’s it! It’s that simple!!!

JSU facilitates regular club meetings in public schools that meet during the lunch hour, before or after school, providing food for the body and soul. Programs include speakers from a variety of Jewish organizations, discussions on timely topics of interest to the participants and interactive activities (such as the ever popular "Jewpardy Quiz Game"). Krispy Kreme doughnuts, Starbucks coffee, pizza, and holiday foods are always served.

In addition to the regularly scheduled school club meetings, JSU sponsors activities outside of school and school hours including Weekend Retreats, Latte n’ Learning sessions, community service projects, ski trips, Friday night gatherings, the annual New York Experience trip and others. JSU also participated in Jewish community-wide events such as Super Sunday, Mitzvah Day, Israel Independence Day celebrations and Jewish Community Festivals.

Each club is governed by elected officers who meet on a regular basis as a JSU Council of Officers to discuss program topics, outside activities and calendars.

JSU (Jewish Student Union) is a not for profit organization with headquarters in Chicago, IL.

JSU is funded by a generous grant from the Gindi Family Fund, The Jewish Federations of several cities and numerous private foundations and donors across North America, including the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta.
